Day Two - The Lake

One of the best parts about Germany are the woods that are pretty much everywhere! Gabe was so excited to go explore so we took the kids to the lake with Opa. There are crazy (almost animated) looking mushrooms all through the forrest. I told the kids I would find them a frog and I did. In fact, I became the frog whisperer from that day forward. Anytime I wanted to find a frog I would look down and spot one.

This lake in in the town of Hof where Manuel is from. It's so pretty. There is a restaurant, a huge zip line that goes over the lake and a giant obstacle course built in the tops of the trees. You put a helmet on and hoist yourself up with ropes and off you go!

There is also this fun playground that the kids loved. The playgrounds in Germany have different play equipment and some things the kids have never seen. They were in paradise! They did struggle seeing the naked children swimming all around us and running along the beach. Yes, kids in Germany swim naked and some adults do as well. I call it pedifile paradise.

The best part was the little boy who was so happy to be able to practice his English with us. When he heard us talking he lit up and began spouting off all kinds of sentences in English to us. After that he followed us around with a big smile. He was so cute!
