Mid-July

The kids had two weeks of summer vacation in the middle of July and then started school again. During those two weeks we packed in swimming lessons, a trip to Daddy's work and a summer concert. I thought I would hate year round school because of the short summers but those two weeks were just enough time to have enough of a break before they started to get bored and on my nerves :)

In August they will get three weeks off and we will go on a fun family trip. So it all works out. I do enjoy having weeks off during the school year so we can go to places on the off-season and enjoy ourselves.

Making Kambucha! That is called a "scoby" on the plate. It looks like a jelly-fish and provides live pro-biotics.

The finished bottles. It tastes like sparkling grape juice.

They take lessons from a lady that lives at the end of our street.

Cherise came up to my house and made these for the kids. It's a recipe from Denmark. She's getting in touch with our roots.
A terrible wind storm blew this over and cracked it :(
