July Memories

July may have been our busiest month! That's probably why I forgot to post our memories. We celebrated two holidays, Paisley's birthday, a family reunion, parties, barbecues, school ended, parades, girls camp (for church) and the girls started gymnastics.

Because I'm a young women leader (Laurel Adviser - of the 16 and 17-year old girls) at church, I got to go to girls camp for a week. We went to Bear Lake and played on the water and on the beach. We had boats and paddle boards. We  made snow cones, performed skits, made crafts, went on hikes, played volleyball, and it rained.

Then we my Grandma Cavner and her sister had a family reunion. All the children and their families camped for two days up in Ephraim Canyon. It was so much fun! We went on giant water slides, performed skits, had contests, played volleyball, watched movies under the stars, played games, and had special programs. Gabe and Paisley won a guessing game and got a giant jar of candy. I got to see a lot of family that I haven't seen in years and have never met before.

Paisley turned seven! We celebrated at our favorite water theme park - Cherry Hill! We went camping in Grandpa Rogers backyard too. So much fun!!

This was Gabe's Third Grade Program.

Can you spot Gabe on the top row?

That is a picture of Grandpa Roger's Dad
There is Paisley in the blue shirt. She was watching Gabe's program.

At the Layton City Parade

Getting drinks on a hot, hot day.

After the parade we had a water party in our backyard on the 4th of July!

We had a barbecue.

Homemade red, white and blue ice cream - patriotic!

Watching Layton City fireworks.

At Girl's Camp, at Bear Lake.

Can you spot the baby owls in this tree? They look like monkeys.

My pretty hair

At girls camp, we like to braid hair.

Our morning hike.

The bracelet I made.

The girls stole my camera and took tons of pictures.

Grandpa Roger and Grandma Candice hosted "Camp Cobblemorr" in their backyard. The name of the street they live on is named "Cobblemorr" all of our families camped in the yard.

We had a barbecue.

The kids went fishing!

Look what she caught!

This is a fun game called corn hole.

Eclair cake and ice cream cookie sandwiches!

We told ghost stories/

In the morning, Gabe helped make pancakes.

We celebrated Paisley's birthday at Cherry Hill.

A big thunder storm came through and everyone left the park, except us.

We had dinner.

Then we had "chapple pie" cherry and apple and ice cream.

Camping at the Keller Family Reunion (my dad's family)

This was our cabin.

Grandpa Roger and Grandma Candice slept in the museum.

The museum was haunted. Manuel had a personal experience.

The researchers who used to stay here.

On the second night we all watched a movie under the stars.

More gifts.

Every family made and performed a skit on the stage.

We played games (battle of the families)

Because it was a holiday (Pioneer Day) I taught the children pioneer games that our ancestors used to play.

My Grandma and her sister - Cherise and her family are missing.

This is "Eggbert" a little bird that flew into our window. I nursed her back to health.
