Camping Fun

Over Labor Day weekend we went camping East of Brigham City in Mantua. Surprisingly it wasn't crowded and there were camping spots to spare. I try to plan a camping trip at least once a year. My kids love it so much, and I camped all the time when I was little but my husband hates it. I think it's good to know how to survive in the wilderness even if it's just for a day. With all that's going on in the world, the day will come when we'll have to have these skills and be prepared. I'm proud of my little family and how good they are at their mountaineer skills.

My husband may have never been a boyscout (he grew up without the program) but I'm turning him into one. Gabe will start boy scouts next year and  he and Manuel will be doing a lot more of this.

I printed campfire ghost stories online and read them to the kids. We played card games and went on adventures. The ground was so soft and we all slept very well. There were even flushing toilets on our campground! It was nice to get away from T.V, cell phones and every day life.

After the adventure was over we stopped in Brigham City the next day and enjoyed their famous peach shakes at a nearby park. The kids were sad to go home but Manuel was very happy.
