Winter Break and a New Year!

January has been a busy month!

We have a new ward now and Manuel has been called as the Ward Financial Clerk and I am the Laurel Adviser. Manuel is perfect for his new calling. It keeps him really busy on Sundays as he gives a lot of time to the church. He works with the bishop and his counselors over all the financial matters in our ward. I love my new calling! It is so rewarding and special to be a leader to the 16 and 17-year-old girls. It's fun being with all the young women in our ward. This Friday all the young men and young women are going to the temple to do baptisms for the dead and then to get ice cream. I wish I could go, but instead I am giving them a bunch of names of  my ancestors to take and I am so excited!

As you can see we have been doing a lot of fun activities as a family. So far, this has been the best year ever! All of my dreams and goals have been coming true and the spiritual side of my life is at an all-time-high. The Lord has been guiding us to get our preparedness finalized and it has been incredible how he has blessed us!  As the world grows more chaotic, we rest at peace knowing that we have a plan, we are prepared and we have a prophet who guides us.We are going to make the best of 2015 and make some special and unforgettable memories!
